About 18 months ago I get a phone call from a frantic gentleman who must have an appointment within the next 24 hours. I take his name and number and we decide that the next day at 10 AM would be perfect. The next day comes and my nurse says that Mr. Smith is here for his 10 O’clock. We put him in consultation room 1 and then I’m on my way. As I walk in the room I am extremely surprised because the gentleman waiting for me is the same man who was in my living room at 10:00 the night before, the anchor from my favorite News show.

His fear is growing as his hair is going…

We establish that I know who he is and that we really need to use his real name and information for his medical records. I try to put him at ease, that his privacy will be totally protected, and that we have done news people, athletes and even movie stars, but no one ever knows except for the patients that they have sent us. Finally he began to trust me and put his belief in our ability. Whether you are a super star or an auto mechanic we have a law called HIPPA which prevents us for using any photography or telling anyone who our patients are and what they have done with us. Even before we had this law, we ethically have a responsibility to our patients to protect their privacy and we have always honored it.

Once we have your trust, then we can begin to do our job…

Now that we had the ability to communicate, I was able to discuss his needs and expectatio

s of what we could do in one procedure that would be totally undetectable, and what we would do that might be noticeable to his HD cameras for a few days. Obviously, he did not want to be on the air when anything was noticeable so he opted to take a week off with 2 weekends in between. I assured him that if anything was noticeable, that he wears make-up on the air and he could easily use make-up to cover anything that might be showing. I knew that because of his pre-existing hair and his skin color he would be at least 90% healed to the eye if not 100% in ten days. So now, finally, we were totally able spend time mapping out his procedure so he could have a great result, never be bald and continue as the handsome young looking newsman that moved him up the ranks to be the Anchor Man on the news.

That was then and this is now

Well, his procedure was a complete success, and much of the paranoia the patient had, ended up being unnecessary. He now has a full head of hair to show the world every night at 10, and the best news is that he just scheduled his second procedure because as is the case with many of our patients, some of his existing hair has started to fall out and thin a little. But as predicted we are definitely ahead of the game, so no one will ever see it or ever no. And just for the record when he called for his 2nd procedure he was very happy to use his real name and identity, so no more mystery man coming in, just one happy Anchor Man.

My Only Regret is That I Did Not Do My Hair Transplant Sooner!

Two years ago, I went to Loren and decided to have a hair restoration procedure, better known to me as a hair transplant.

It’s amazing how some people never quite understand…

Two years ago, I went to Loren and decided to have a hair restoration procedure, better known to me as a hair transplant. Although my hair loss had been bothering me for quite a while, I just couldn’t get the nerve to find out about this procedure. After all it wasn’t a potion pill or lotion it was somewhat of a surgical procedure, and surgery is a very scary word.

A free consultation couldn’t hurt my looks

I went into the consultation and immediately asked, “Why do I keep seeing men with bad hair transplants, and where are the good ones?” Loren, the specialist I was seeing, laughed and said that those gentlemen are his worst advertising. “Hair Restoration is the most popular procedure for men in the world”, he proceeded, “but the men who have good ones or great ones never get noticed because they look so natural. You see them every day, but only the bad ones stand out.” I continued to learn that many men are told from the start, in their treatment plan, that they may need a second or even a third procedure. Many of these men, for whatever reason, never continue, so they and their incomplete results look somewhat goofy. Other men have had the procedure so long ago and they have lost more hair since it was done, and again they now are walking around looking like they are incomplete.

One out of four patients is an update

“We continue to see many of our old patients for updates or we see other patients from other doctors because not all doctors have the artistic flair to give their patients that natural undetectable look, or many clinics don’t keep up to date with current technology”, He explained to me. Well between the explanation and the knowledge I received, I moved forward and had a wonderful experience and a phenomenal result. Ironically when I went in after a year and I went over my before and after photos, and took new ones. We saw that although I looked great with my new beautiful hair I noticed a few areas that I wanted to densify and improve. When we reviewed the photos closely we all agreed. So since the first procedure was so easy and painless compared to what I expected, I scheduled the second one because I did not want to be one of those guys that looked good from far, but was far from good, let alone great. And great was the way I wanted to be and be seen.

Today my only regret is that I did not do it sooner

Now it is two years later and I believe I look at least fifteen years younger. I feel so good about my looks and my experience with Loren. My looks are natural undetectable and I adore and appreciate every day I when I wake up and look in the mirror. The new found confidence and pride that I feel about myself and my looks is the reason I have taken the time to share my experience with other guys who have the fears and anger I was living with. So, I have written this blog. right. I have read a lot of things on the web about some sob stories with hair transplants, but what I’ve learned is, it isn’t always the clinics that are bad or did a bad job, but many times it’s the patients who just never finished what they started.

           Always finish what you start

Take it from me my second procedure put the frosting on the cake and the cherry on the top. If you’ve had a transplant and are not happy see the folks at Krochmal to finish the job. If you are thinking of hair restoration and only want the best, see the folks at Krochmal Hair Restoration and let them…

The Man who is Walking on Hair, I mean Air!

So, the other day I’m sitting in my office and the front desk calls and tells me we have a patient on the phone that needs to talk with me. For privacy purposes, let’s call him John. I immediately grabbed the phone because with over 3 decades in Krochmal Hair Restoration I’ve learned that when a patient calls it isn’t usually to check how my golf game is going. The conversation basically went this way, “John how are you doing, and how is everything going?” I opened enthusiastically, and much to my surprise the response I received on the other end was overwhelming.

“You won’t believe how different my hair is,”

That was John’s response to me, and although it sounded very positive I didn’t want to presume anything, so I asked a more probing question, “So it’s been 7 months and your hair should be growing in nicely?” “Nicely,” he screamed, “It’s amazing!” Whew, that’s what I was hoping to hear, but you never know whether you have met the patient’s expectations. I have seen hair restoration results that I think are absolutely spectacular, but the patient is looking for “Bullet Proof Hair”, which in many cases that kind of density can only be accomplished with multiple procedures.

Plus the patient needs an extremely strong donor area, which our patient John really had. John finally scheduled an appointment to come in and shoot photos, and wanted to know if we could discuss scheduling a 2nd procedure which is what we had talked about in our long term plan.

Wow, the meeting was worth the wait!

John came in and my staff and I were tickled at how spectacular his result was. After we shot current photographs, he sat down and said, “I can't believe what a difference between my before pictures and now. My eyes were lying to me and telling me I had more hair than I really did.” He was on a major ramble, but the sparkle in his eyes was worth just letting him talk. He kept going, “My wife says it really didn't matter to her and I looked fine before, but all of a sudden, she's buying me different clothes, a little bit younger looking and a lot less conservative…This really says a lot,

without saying a word. And like you told me, it's more than just my wife, it's all about the compliments that I seem to be getting more and more from total strangers as well as friends. And most of all it’s about the confidence I feel every day when I look in the mirror, and that's why I'm here today.”

I’m not waiting to lose more, when today I can get more

“I am here today to schedule the next one before I follow my family pattern and start to lose more. Now that I see how good this works, I know I never want to deal with hair loss again.” To prove how happy he is, John is a model on my website.

           I guess you could say…

Unknown History of Hair Loss #2

           “the Sampson Syndrome”

Almost everyone knows the biblical tale of Sampson and his hair, as a matter of fact, Sampson could be the reason why so many men seem to suffer from Hair Loss. Well in case you have not stayed up to date on your bible stories, or if you have never heard of Sampson, I’ll provide you with a brief synopsis of Samson and his hair or lack thereof.

Hair all over his pillow, sound familiar?

So Sampson woke up and saw hair all over his pillow. He reached up, touched his head and realized he was bald. He had told his lover Delilah that his strength was in his hair, because that was what God had told him. While he was napping Delilah gave him a trim that left him hairless. His posture slumped, and he felt all of his strength was gone…but was it really?

Well according to the bible he was taken prisoner and put into the dungeon in the King’s castle where they preceded to blind him as well. Now comes the big question, was his strength really gone or did he just believe it was gone because his faith in God was so strong? Well he probably still had his strength but his confidence was shattered. The woman he cared about took his one secret and betrayed him. Sampson was devastated, and I can relate because I know when I was losing my hair I felt I looked like a goof. Baldness and thinning hair was just not the way I wanted to see myself. And if your hair is thinning, or you’re bald, I’m sure you’ve thought about Sampson many times, I know I did.

I’d walk past mirrors and realize that I did not look like me anymore. Not only did I not look right, but I felt myself getting depressed because I wanted to stop my growing fore head, but I really had no control over the hand Mother Nature was dealing me.
Hair Loss for Women is Happening More and More…

Contemporary Hair Restoration can be the only real way to bring women back their hair as well as their self-esteem and the ability to go out in public and look and feel great about themselves.

Hair loss for women is happening more and more…

Maybe it is the environment, or possibly because women are living longer, or maybe it’s all the coloring and chemicals women are using on their hair, or even the effects from the decades of being on birth control or finally it could be the effects of the stress from Covid. Maybe it is a combination of all of the above or none of the above. Somewhere along the way I am seeing more women in a month than I used to see in a year. Female hair loss is becoming more and more of a major issue. That being said the science and technology of today’s hair medications and restoration have given this new segment of the hair loss generation new hope.

There is new hope for women with Hair Loss

Women need to understand that there is a major difference that marketing experts are constantly trying to disguise. There is thickening your hair and growing more hair, and the difference between these two procedures is like putting a bandage on a cut or putting sutures or stiches on a cut. Many patients we see have purchased expensive shampoos or supplements off the web or from hair stylists claiming to thicken hair, and some of them actually do what they claim to do—add body or thickness to the patient’s hair. The problem is that the lady is really looking to have more hair not necessarily thicken the thinning strands that she has left.

There are many options that may help, but only one real solution

Today women have many options that may help them awaken their follicles and generate some regrowth. These options include Minoxidol, which comes in many products but is best known by the product name Rogaine. Another option is low level laser which includes a few that are approved by the FDA, although there are dozens on the market that are just light bulbs. Finally, an option that is catching on quickly is PRP (platelet Rich Plasma) treatments which stimulate dormant follicles and definitely helps keep and densify what is left. The key word in the headline is all these treatments may slow down or stop hair loss or thinning, but rarely are any of these techniques successful at growing hair with the density most woman are looking for to style and grow to suit their expectations.

The Real answer that really gives Women much more than Hair!

Contemporary Hair Restoration can be the only real way to bring women back their hair as well as their self-esteem and the ability to go out in public and look and feel great about themselves. Unknown History About Hair Loss

Back in the fifteenth and sixteenth century there was a famous actor who was playing the lead in almost every play that was performed on the stages of London. He was truly the master of his craft and if he were acting today he would be considered for academy awards every year. He was loved by more than the theater community, he was also so handsome that the woman throughout the land were all longing to be with him.

He had the world at his feet and then it went to his head

As he started to get older he noticed that his forehead was getting larger and larger. It wasn’t that his forehead was growing it was his hairline was receding. Suddenly he began to feel very self-conscious that his good looks were leaving as his hair was thinning. He stopped auditioning for major roles, and started to stay home and began writing plays instead of performing in them. The more he wrote the less he wanted to be on stage and the more he looked in the mirror at his giant forehead the more he felt compelled to write.

His hair loss was the major motivation for a historical legend…

We all know this man’s body of work, but what we didn’t know was William Shakespeare is not only the most legendary playwright in history, but his hairline was even named after him. A Shakespearian hairline is a person who recedes back to the middle of his scalp or more, but maintains the hair in his crown. And according to legend, had he not lost his hair he probably would have remained an actor and never written the masterpieces that have withstood the test of time.

This is Dr. Nadar Aziz, and although this story makes sense to me and many of my patients, I made it up after hearing the stories of many of my patients and how their hair loss had affected their jobs, marriage and even parenting. The good news is because of their ability to reverse their hair loss with a hair restoration procedure(s), they were able to continue to go back to what had made them successful in the first place, with added confidence and focus. As I say to my patients, “If your hair loss is on your mind, it is because it is not on your head”. Losing your hair in many men and women becomes an obsession that does not allow you to concentrate clearly on many of the important aspects of your profession and your relationship with your loved ones. If Shakespeare were alive today he would definitely be a patient of mine and would be winning Academy Awards for his acting, not his writing…But that is a different story. There are many more hair loss history stories I will share with you in my blogs, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them…

Did You Hear the Joke About…?

Your hair loss is not a joke to me, and I will make sure, if you are a good candidate, you get your hair back for the rest of your life, and that’s no joke.

Did you hear the joke about…?

Hey, did you hear the joke about the Bald Guy? Well if your hair is thinning or you’re bald, you’ve probably heard every joke about baldness, and you’ve probably tried every product there is to make your hair grow, only to find that for all the great products that claim they are sure to work, 99% of them are just plain garbage. It’s amazing for hundreds of years people have been developing advertising programs to take advantage of the poor men and women who would do and spend just about anything to see their hair growing on their head again.

If it’s on your mind it’s usually not on your head

So, if you Google Hair loss you will find enough products to break the bank, but ironically only four have FDA approval and only one really works, and that one is hair restoration, and that’s no joke. The only way to grow your hair back so you can comb it, style it, color it or just shampoo and go is with a hair restoration procedure. Hair Restoration unlike the other FDA approved products gives you the hair, look and attitude that you have been wanting and waiting to see again, and nothing, that’s right NOTHING—no product or person or ad can make that claim. No potion, lotion, pill, laser light, nothing grows hair that you can style and that will grow and continue to for the rest of your life except for a Hair Restoration Procedure Done primarily with the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique. The true test of an experienced Hair Restoration Team is one who can create the look you want using the best techniques for your hair loss, age and budget.

           Now here’s a huge joke!

Want to hear a real joke—People are spending Billions on products that don’t grow hair. Now that’s a joke when Hair Restoration or a Hair Transplant Surgery is 99% successful. How do you find a group like that with an experienced physician leading the way, well you already have if you are reading this blog. If baldness or thinning hair is not for you, call me, Loren Comitor I have over 30 years of experience in the Hair Transplant field. I will be happy to see you and customize a hair restoration plan that is right for your hair loss and your budget. Your hair loss is not a joke to me, and I will make sure, if you are a good candidate, you…

Get your hair back for the Rest of Your Life,

           And That’s No Joke

Is it the fear that baldness that makes them look and feel older? Does their profession say they need the best packaging, and is hair a part of their package? Does Hairlessness mean you are powerlessness, as told in the bible story of Sampson? Does hair loss just make you hate the guy in the mirror? Well there are many reasons that people in show business hate being bald, and they are exactly the same reasons why you hate being bald. Hair just makes them look and feel better about themselves.

After reviewing the men above, you are probably saying, “I can’t believe all these stars and sex symbols and athletes would need to do a transplant to feel right again!” That being said, we don’t know what their reason was that made them do this minor procedure called Hair Restoration, but the truth is the reason they did it doesn’t matter as long as the result made them feel better about how they looked and they feel great about how they think the world looks at them. I’m sure you were surprised to see some of the names that are listed above, and those are just a few who have decided to not be totally private about doing it.

I have been in the Hair Restoration business for nearly four decades, and you would not believe how hard it is to get patients to allow us to use their before and after pictures. When we used brochures, no one wanted to be in them, and today in the world of social media, getting someone to be on your web page is next to impossible. Plus, we usually have to wait around a year for all the hair to grow in, and then I can hardly get folks to come in to show me their results and take after photos. So, when prospective clients want to talk to or see patients it is a very tough task. Think about it, if you had a Hair Transplant would you allow me to show your before and after's on my web site? If the answer is yes, I have special pricing for models. If the answer is no, join the club but if I only show you about 10 or 20 photos understand why I am legally not allowed to show you more. At any rate I hope you enjoyed seeing the names of some of the celebrities I shared with you who have had the procedure…If you would like to join them, give me a call, because maybe it’s time for you to…
